Challenge
Foundation and turbine installation on Poland's first offshore wind farm ran in parallel across several contractors and vessels. The owner needed people who understand installation methods and could represent its interests offshore, on the vessel and at the quayside.
Solution
Ventum provided client representatives for the monopile installation campaign, the wind turbine installation campaign and the rock placement (scour protection) works. Our representatives followed operations on site, checked them against approved procedures and quality requirements, documented progress and escalated issues to the owner's package managers.
Results
The owner received consistent, independent oversight across foundation, scour protection and turbine installation, with one partner who knew the whole project rather than a single work package.
