Baltic Power – Client Representation for Offshore Cable Installation
Owner-side client representatives on board during cable laying, pull-in, burial and trenching for Baltic Power.

Challenge
Cable installation is one of the riskiest phases of an offshore wind project. On Baltic Power the work was carried out by contractors and their vessels, while the owner needed its own experienced people offshore to follow every step, confirm that work matched the agreed procedures and report back without delay.
Solution
Ventum provided client representatives who worked on behalf of Baltic Power on board the installation spreads. They covered cable laying, cable pull-in at the foundations, burial and trenching, and the related cable termination and testing works. Our people reviewed daily progress, witnessed critical operations, raised and followed up non-conformities and kept the owner's project team informed in real time.
Results
Baltic Power had its own eyes offshore throughout the cable campaign: independent, first-hand reporting from the vessel, quick decisions when conditions or methods changed, and a clear record of what was installed and how. The work continues as the project moves towards operation.
