SCOPE

For the second year in a row, we mobilized to the Biscay Bay to work on the Saint-Nazaire Offshore Wind Farm—the first offshore site in France to undergo blade repairs from platforms.

Building on our proven track record, Ventum was awarded the contract for blade repairs on GE Haliade 150 turbines. These 80 machines operate in challenging offshore conditions, with high rainfall accelerating wear on blade leading edges and requiring regular maintenance.

Challenge

This season, our focus was on major structural repairs and restoration of damaged leading edges. Our technicians used a combination of rope access and the Kaufer blade repair platform to ensure safe and efficient access to all work areas.

Solution

Our warehouse ensured timely delivery of tools and consumables to support continuous offshore work. After onboarding, our vessel-based team launched repair and inspection works.

Results

Throughout the project, our on-site quality lead provided real-time support to the technicians, resolving issues early and maintaining smooth progress without delays.
